My wife and I are looking to join a co ed softball team that plays on Sundays.
We've both played a lot of softball in the past - she's an excellent athlete and softball player. We both generally play outfield.

Hurling is a 4000 year old Irish game. It is played with a leather ball that is a bit smaller than a baseball, Hurlies (sticks of wood shaped like a cross of a axe handle and a hokey stick). It's played on a field a bit bigger than a standard soccer field, it has goals like a cross between a football goal post and a soccer goal. You can pretty much do anything with the ball other than picking it up directly from the ground with your hands. Hit it with the hurley in the air or the ground, hand pass it, or kick it.
The game is fast paced and there is very light contact in it. We play it coed down here. We currently have 2 teams and a traveling team. We have sponsers and equipment. We are in the process of becoming a non-profit organization and are looking to expand our league. We have a facebook page and a website. Hurling is becoming a fast growing sport here in the states. Become part of the excitment that is...Hurling, the fastest sport on grass!!!

I just signed up for the Wed night league and I'm not quite sure how to go about finding a team! So if anyone needs another girl, let me know! I played in high school, which was a while ago, but I think I should be able to pick back up pretty easily. Basically just looking for a team that likes to have fun, and meet new people.
